Ron Zimmerman

Ron has 30 years experience in investment banking, venture workout/turnaround and startup management. He has a successful track record of closing M&A transactions aggregating in excess of $10 billion and private placements and licensing of greater than $500 million. More recently he has been an active life science angel investor. He is a founding investor and CEO of PLx Pharma. Prior to concentrating on life science investing Ron has worked as an executive in a variety of international firms with differing corporate cultures and geographies including: (i) managing regional offices for Deutsche Bank and Robert Fleming, (ii) spearheading new opportunities such as Chase Manhattan Bank’s former Soviet Union energy effort, (iii) leading a workout or turnaround and (iv) managing a closely held E&P Company, TLO Energy.
